This month we have seen some real fashion delights parading down the red carpets at movie premiers and some really bang-on-trend celebs going about their days. Occasionally we get to witness a fashion slip up and increasingly often a serious case of “why would you wear that!” syndrome. Here are a few of our favourites for this month, so far.
Jennifer Anniston ditched her tried and tested LBD (Little Black Dress) formula at the premier of We’re the Millers and wore this beautiful floral number. We think it’s a move in the right direction.
Jessica Alba jazzed up a jeans and tank top ensemble with a pink silk jacket and a pair of heels. Bang on trend and looking lovely.
Return of the white dress. Celeb world is really rocking the white dress look at the moment. Here is Naomi Watts donning a beautiful white number at the first photo-call of the up and coming movie about Diana, Princess of Wales. She’s teamed them up with some black accessories, playing up to the ultra-chic monochrome trend.
Rachel McAdams looked stunning dressed in a black Saint Laurent number paired with a Hermes cuff bracelet at the premiere of ‘About Time’ in Munich. She teamed this steamy number up with a pair of platform heels really showing off her beautiful pins. Well done Rach, well done.
We are well and truly obsessed with the royal bundle of joy who we now know goes by the rather cute name of George! We were wondering what Kate would choose as her first outfit to greet the public with her new born son and she certainly didn’t disappoint. A beautiful sky blue polka dot dress teamed with her trademark flowing locks made Kate look happy and relaxed just a day after giving birth to the future King.
Kate’s always styled to perfection so it was no surprise to see her looking every inch the queen of maternity fashion. William also looked happy and relaxed in a similar coloured fitted shirt and together they just looked like an ordinary young family, beaming with pride and holding their baby boy with care.
Looking ahead to the future of Kate’s fashion, we can imagine she will be leading a tribe of new mothers. Her choices have nearly always been spot on and she has arguably the strongest fashion influence in the UK and beyond.
The simple blue polka dot dress has made waves in the fashion industry and yesterday, the designer Jenny Packham’s website crashed, despite the fact the dress was a bespoke commission for Kate, and therefore is unavailable to buy.
Over the coming weeks, we expect to see her in many more loose fitting dresses as she regains her figure and stays comfortable in the warm weather. Polka dot, ditsy floral and possibly bold prints would all look amazing on Kate as she settles into her new life as a mother.

It looks like we are set for a hot and sunny weekend again, and whilst we know we should never complain about the sun being out, we must admit, last weekend was a bit of a scorcher and keeping stylish wasn’t the easiest! Whether you are off to a barbeque, heading to the beach or taking a picnic to a local park, we’ve got a few tips to keep you stylish in the sun this weekend.
This weather is the perfect time to rock those beachy waves and keep things nice and natural. Wash and condition hair but skip the blow dry and head outside to let hair air dry. Help those waves along by adding a little texturizing salt spray. For those with poker straight hair, fear not! When hair is wet, create two plaits and shake out when nearly dry for gorgeous summer waves every time.
If you need to sweep hair up off your shoulders to stay cool, grab a mesh bun ring and create a big fat bun in the sun! Tease a little of the hair loose for a slightly less polished finish ideal for a day in the sun.

Caking the make up on when the sun is out is an absolute no-no. Of course, getting a natural look doesn’t mean you have to go make up free, it just means you need to learn the tips of getting that subtle look. Choose a tinted moisturiser over your normal foundation, curl eyelashes and add a slick of clear mascara, choose a brow highlighter instead of going for full eye shadow and finish the look with a touch of tinted lip gloss. It takes just a couple of minutes and has you looking glowing and natural with confidence.
It’s maxi dress central and we love any excuse to wear them; they are flattering, comfortable and effortless so perfect for the warm weather. We also know that if you are petit, finding a maxi dress that doesn’t swamp you can be near on impossible. If you are lucky enough to have a petit frame, we have a whole host of summer bargains perfect for you, from gorgeous playsuits to sexy summer shorts and crop tops.
Whatever way you are planning to enjoy the sun this weekend, we at Rebel Rebel hope you have an amazing time. Oh and don’t forget the sun cream; not only will it keep you protected it will help you to avoid that shade of lobster red, which certainly doesn’t suit summer style!
Despite the fact that it is now meant to be the summertime in Britain, there will inevitably be some torrential downpours at some point over the season. Whether you’re popping out on a shopping trip or heading to the festivals across the coming months, here is a fool-proof guide to being the epitome of style when mother nature does her worst:
Keeping your hair in check in the wind and the rain is the first step to remaining stylish in the downpours. Applying a few spritzes of heat protective spray to your locks will maintain the moisture in your hair whilst forming a barrier between you and the elements, keeping the frizz at bay. You could also massage a light application of a good anti-frizz product to your barnet and avoid holding products, as piling on the product can actually aid frizz development.
Much like our hair, our make-up has a mind of its own in bad weather conditions. Be sure to have a long-stay/waterproof mascara in your make-up bag as this will prevent the infamous ‘panda eyes’ from happening. Same applies to your eyeliner, make sure that it’s waterproof, and also consider applying a slightly thinner line than normal to prevent black tears of liner from gracing your cheeks. As for the lips, stick to a gloss that won’t bleed onto your chin in the moisture. Wearing a lighter colour in stormy weather will help any gloss that does decide to make a run for it from as noticeable. One product that we truly heart for the unpredictable weather however is finishing spray, which helps to lock your make up in place in both hot and cold weather. Lightly spraying your face with our new cosmetic staple will keep your face in place all day, whilst aiding any shiny patches that usually develop throughout the day.
What to Wear
In the drizzle you need to make sure that you’ll stay nice and dry, so selecting a studded pleather biker jacket for the wet weather will keep your look both edgy and practical. Team this with a pair of jean shorts and thick tights, which are better than jeans in damp conditions, as tights tend to dry out faster when you reach your destination. Rather than wearing farming wellies, invest in some ankle-height welly boots or some simple leather ankle boots. Both look incredibly stylish – more so than their knee high counterparts that should be reserved for festivals – and will keep your tootsies dry in the puddles about town. Finally, a brightly coloured umbrella will add a splash of summer to your rainy day outfit. Most stores now stock umbrellas with a variety of frills and novelty designs that are great for accessorizing your completed look in the miserable weather.
